“The Request for the Others”
This summer my wife and I have had prophetic words spoken over us by several people. I have had them in the past, but they are getting more insistent and clear. They said that we are to stir up Revival Fires in Oklahoma.
One man at Global Awakening's GSI in Pennsylvania said that there would be a great revival in Oklahoma that would spread across the state and then outwards to the nation. He said to us, "I believe you are the ones who are to bring it. But then he backed up and said, "You AND OTHERS are going to bring revival to Oklahoma." As I have prayed over these words, I think the next chapter of this retired preacher's life is to work to encourage churches of all denominations and communities in Oklahoma that NOW is the time for us to hold revivals and to reach our neighbors with the Good News.
Where is revival needed in Oklahoma? Five places: 1. In the state as a whole, 2. in every community, 3. in every congregation, 4. in every family, and 5. in all of us. in me. in you. in every individual. in everyone.
The starting point for a Revival in Oklahoma is that we need to get as many people as we can across the state praying for revival. Maybe every church could develop prayer cards to distribute. These cards could have the name, address, and picture of your church on it along with the times of worship services. And then the cards should have a prayer that would be something like this:
"Living God, in the name of Jesus Christ we are joining together in praying for revival to come to all of Oklahoma. We pray for every community, every congregation, every family, every individual so that all will have a new and deeper life, set free from sin, and receiving all the promises of Christ for life here and in eternity. I pray for revival for Oklahoma with all my brothers and sisters in Christ of every denomination and church. Amen."
If you will join in praying for revival and working for it, please print up that prayer or something similar and copy and paste it and pass it to others throughout Oklahoma. Let us get as many people in Oklahoma praying as we can. God's heart is yearning for us, He is saying, "Come back to me!" ...
