The Toe Apology

“The Toe Apology”

A woman approached me near the end of a healing revival. She said, "I must apologize to you."

I couldn't imagine why she should apologize to me about anything. She explained that at the opening worship service of the revival I had shared a word of knowledge that God was healing someone's toe. She said that sounded so ridiculous. She didn't really believe that God did any healings, and if he did, she was sure God wouldn't waste time on something as unimportant as someone's toe! She decided that I was silly and a faker. She even became angry about it.

Then toward the end the of the week, as she was still stewing over it, she said she felt that GOD STARTED TALKING TO HER! She said the Lord asked her: "Tell me, how is YOUR FOOT feeling?" And she realized she had not been feeling any pain in her own toe. And the Lord asked, "And when did it stop hurting?" She realized it hadn't bothered her at all since Sunday morning. It suddenly dawned on her that it was her own toe that God had healed at the service!

She apologized, saying, "I thought you were silly and a faker. And it was me that God was healing!"

As I reflect upon that woman's admission, I think that God was healing more than her toe. I think God was teaching her that he cares about every aspect of our lives. There is nothing that is too small for God to be concerned about. The same God who creates galaxies also creates grains of sand.

Nothing is going on in your life that is too small for God to care about, and nothing is going on that is too big for him! If you are having your own toe problem today, may God heal it, in Jesus' name.
